“When the mind is disturbed, the breath is also disturbed. When the breath is brought under control, the mind reaches a state of calmness” – Hatha Yoga Pradheepika

What is covered in the sessions?
The half-hour practice sessions utilize various pranayama techniques to enhance breath, improve respiratory health, and calm your mind. The mind is like the wind. Calming the mind is like controlling the wind. Ancient yogic texts document Pranayamas that can be practiced in an organized way to achieve to reach a state of calmness.
The sessions start with cleansing techniques, followed by pranayama to improve lung capacity and to reach a state of Meditation. The first few classes of the course will reinforce Pranayama basics. Advanced Pranayama practices will be built up throughout the course with more focus on Meditation towards the end of the program.

This is suitable for anyone who would like to use pranayama techniques for physical benefit or to bring more focus to the mind and reach a state of calmness.
